The first edition of the IJIL journal focuses on the study of Islamic law under the theme “Dialectics between Universal Values and Local Wisdom in the Theorization of Islamic Law in Indonesia.” This inaugural edition was preceded by a national conference forum, where selected papers presented by the speakers underwent a rigorous editing process before publication. The articles in this edition are published in three languages: Arabic, English, and Indonesian.
