Archiving Policy

The Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) ensures the long-term digital preservation and permanent accessibility of its published content through recognised international archiving services.

IJIL participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which utilises the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) programme to create a distributed preservation system among participating libraries. This system ensures that multiple secure copies of the journal’s content are stored independently, guaranteeing continued access to authentic and unaltered versions of published articles.

In the event that IJIL becomes temporarily unavailable or ceases publication, content preserved through PKP PN remains accessible via participating preservation nodes.

IJIL also supports the CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) system as an additional archival mechanism. CLOCKSS provides a controlled, community-governed preservation network designed to ensure the long-term survival and restoration of scholarly content in cases of catastrophic loss, publisher failure, or journal discontinuation.
