1. Change of Person in Charge (2021):

   Details: We announce a significant change in leadership within the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL). Effective January 15, 2021, Muhammad Fauzinudin Faiz has taken over as the new Person in Charge (PIC), succeeding Ishaq. This transition is part of our ongoing commitment to bring fresh perspectives and leadership skills to the forefront of our journal operations, ensuring that IJIL continues to uphold and exceed the standards of academic excellence.
2. Template Update:
   Date of Announcement: June 10, 2021
   Details: The Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) is pleased to announce the introduction of a new template for submissions. The updated template was designed to align with international standards of academic publishing, facilitating a more efficient review process and ensuring a consistent layout for published articles. This update reflects our commitment to providing a robust platform for scholarly dialogue and dissemination of research in Islamic law.
3. Language Transition to Arabic and English (2022):
   Date of Announcement: June 30, 2022
   Details: In an effort to broaden our reach and enhance accessibility for international scholars, the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) officially transitioned to publishing articles in both Arabic and English starting in Vol. 5, No. 1, 2022. This strategic move was aimed at embracing a wider academic audience and fostering cross-cultural scholarly communication in the fields of Islamic law.
4. Change of Institutional Name and Email Update:
   Date of Announcement: Ongoing
   Details: In light of our institution's name change, we have also updated our contact email. Correspondence and submissions previously directed to ijil.pascasarjana@iain-jember.ac.id should now be sent to ijil.pascasarjana@uinkhas.ac.id. This change ensures that our communications and submissions are managed efficiently under the new institutional identity.
5. Indexed by Garuda-Indexed Journals (Kemendikbudristek RI):
   Date of Announcement: Ongoing
   We are also pleased to announce that all articles from the IJIL are indexed in the Kemendikbudristek RI-run Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) database. This underscores the significant impact of our research on the broader academic community and highlights the quality and relevance of the work published in our journal.    Starting from Volume 07, No. 1, 2023, the URL of the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law has been updated from

10. Template Update
    Date of Announcement: Ongoing
    Starting from December, Vol. 8, No. 2 (2025), the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) has updated its manuscript template and submission guidelines to better reflect international publishing standards. These revisions are intended to improve clarity, consistency, and scholarly contribution across all published articles.
    

11. Indexed by Science and Technology Index (SINTA 3)
    Date of Announcement: Volume 5 No. 2 (2022) to Volume 10 No. 1 (2027)
    Based on the Minutes of the Determination of Journal Accreditation Results for Period I of 2025, the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology has issued Decree Number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025 dated March 21, 2025, regarding the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period I of 2025. In this decree, the Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) has been awarded a new accreditation at Rank 3, effective from Volume 5 No. 2 (2022) to Volume 10 No. 1 (2027).
