Call for Applications: Reviewers and Editors
The Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL), a biannual bilingual peer-reviewed journal published by the Postgraduate Programme at UIN Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember, is inviting applications for the positions of reviewers and editors. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a strong background in Islamic law to contribute to the advancement of scholarship in this field.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Reviewers provide constructive feedback on manuscripts, assess the quality and rigour of research, and evaluate the relevance and originality of submissions. Their role is crucial in maintaining the high academic standards of the journal.
2. Editors oversee content curation, manage the peer review process, and ensure that selected articles align with the journal’s themes and scholarly standards. Editors also collaborate with authors to refine manuscripts for publication.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of a master’s degree in Islamic law or related fields; PhD holders are preferred.
2. The candidate should have a proven publication record that demonstrates their expertise in Islamic law.
3. Previous experience in peer review or editorial work is highly desirable.
4. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in academic English, along with strong writing and editing skills.
