Open Access Policy

The Indonesian Journal of Islamic Law (IJIL) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and advances scholarly communication.

IJIL is an open access journal, meaning that all articles are freely available to users and institutions without any subscription or access fee. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts, or use the articles for any lawful purpose without requesting prior permission from the publisher or the authors.

This policy is in full accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which defines open access as free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles.

All content published in IJIL is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This licence allows anyone to:
     • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
     • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as users follow the licence terms, which require:
     • Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given to the original author(s) and source, a link to the licence must be provided, and any changes made must be indicated.
     • ShareAlike — if the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting work must be distributed under the same licence as the original.

IJIL retains no copyright restrictions beyond those required by the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. The freedoms granted under this licence are irrevocable as long as users comply with the licence conditions.
